Lotion bottle recycling went up by 52%, for example, while shampoo bottle recycling increased by 45%. Product boxes saw a 61% rise & toilet paper roll recycling increased by 125%. Overall, every specifically tracked item saw an increased recycling rate, with the percentages of positive change ranging from 23% to 258%.

According to the UCLA/BinBisa Residential Recycling Study, the answers are YES. Here are some of the specific results of the study that put BinBisa's patented dual purpose bins to the test.
•Lead consultant for the study, Vivian Lew Ph.D., applied McNemar's Chi-squared test to the data. The result was 36.21429, and the final study report goes on to interpret that number, reading "This large value has a probability far less than .0001 which is quite small. This suggests that this change is unlikely to be due to random chance alone. The result provides evidence that the BinBisa changes behavior."
